BUTOH WORKSHOP ‘Mayu’
Content:
Butoh is (self) experience. Therefore Butoh is developed out of individual lives, stories, conceptions and memories. Thus the dance can never be formed by the copy of a given movement or a gesture.
The workshop leaves much area to investigate oneself and find ones personel Butoh.
A clear and the western way of thinking adapted instruction language makes it possible to translate the guidance and the emerging images directly into movements while the concentration is not interupted.
Means:
1.) Emptiness: the end of Existence - the beginning of Butoh - from respiration to silence
2.) Walking: Who or What moves us How and Where to?
3.) Noguchi Taisou: use the energy of nature with focus on the wave and the 8 - symbol of infinity
4.) Images: be formed and moved by images coming from inside, outside and unknown one
5.) Transformation: Butoh, the dance of life - a constant change
